The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
In Dealer Service Portal (DSP) when initiating remote flash during initial flash checks, if the software on one of the devices has changed from what is known in the remote flash table, the mismatch will cause the flash to show error.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem. The corrective action is applied and this issue will be addressed with the 2017B.2 back-office software update by January 2018. Until this fix can be implemented dealers experiencing this issue may submit a Dealer Service Network (DSN) ticket, which will be expedited to Tier 3 to have the table manually reset.
