1 1 481-1726 Pin Coat the bore for the pin with black 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge.
As required, use the following shim rings in order to adjust maximum allowed clearance to 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) in between the cutting edges of upper jaw and lower jaw. Total shims should be evenly distributes between upper jaw and lower jaw:
2 2 482-5793 Ring Shim Thickness of one shim is 3.0 0.15 mm (0.118 0.006 inch)
3 2 482-5792 Ring Shim Thickness of one shim is 2.50 0.15 mm (0.098 0.006 inch)
4 2 482-5791 Ring Shim Thickness of one shim is 2.00 0.15 mm (0.078 0.006 inch)
5 2 482-5795 Ring Shim Thickness of one shim is 5.00 0.15 mm (0.196 0.006 inch)
6 9 144-5606 Bolt Torque to 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).
7 1 481-1723 Pin Coat the bore for the pin with black 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge.
8 1 481-1724 Nut Use the following procedure in order to tighten the nut:
1. Tighten the nut to 300 50 N m (221 37 lb ft).
2. Backoff the nut until the nearest set of holes is aligned.
9 4 8T-8441 Bolt Before assembly, apply blue Loctite 243 to the threads.
10 2 144-4084 Bolt Torque to 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).
11 9 7Y-5217 Bolt Torque to 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).
12 1 481-1725 Pin Coat the bore for the pin with black 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge.
As required, use the following shim plates in order to adjust maximum allowed clearance to 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) in between the cutting edges of upper jaw and lower:
- 18 463-3827 Shim Plate Thickness of one shim is 1.0 mm (0.04 inch).
- 6 463-3828 Shim Plate Thickness of one shim is 1.5 mm (0.06 inch).
- 3 541-1657 Shim Thickness of one shim is 1.0 mm (0.04 inch).
- 1 541-1658 Shim Thickness of one shim is 1.5 mm (0.06 inch).
