Problem
The 9C4225 Bearings have been canceled and replaced by 4E0275 Bearings. The new 4E0275 Bearings are made of a heat treated steel to reduce impact failures and reduce elongation in the shaft bore.
Action Required
Remove all 9C4225 Bearings from parts stock.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 9C4225 Bearings removed from parts stock.
Parts Disposition
All parts removed (with the exception of cores used for Caterpillar Remanufactured parts) should be rendered useless and scrapped immediately upon completion of the repair.
