1. Refer to RENR9744, Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure Release", in order to prepare the machine for this Rework Procedure. Refer Image1.7.1.

2. Remove two end cap screws (10 +/- 1 N.m) from the spool, using a M5 Allen drive. Retain the end cap screw washers for later reuse in this Rework Procedure. Refer to Image1.8.1.
Note: The two end cap screw washers are required for re-assembly.

3. Lightly pry the end cap from the valve body with a flathead screwdriver.
4. Remove the end cap. Refer Image1.9.1.

5. Slide the spool halfway out from the spool bore.
Note: Do NOT remove the spool from the bore.
6. Install the spool holder onto the spool. Refer to Image1.10.1. Use a grip clamp in order to clamp the spool holder.

7. Use a 6mm Allen drive (13.6 +/- 1.4 N.m) to unbolt the spool end. Loosen to remove the completed spring section.
8. Replace with a new spring and re-tighten the spool end to a specified torque of 13.6 +/- 1.4 N.m.
9. Remove the grip clamp and spool holder and slide the spool back into the spool bore. Refer Image1.11.1.

10. Check and ensure that there is one end cap O-Ring before installing the end cap. Ensure that it is in place.
11. Replace the 6V-5586 O-Ring if it is damaged or loose.
12. Assemble the end cap with screws and washers. Ensure that the surrounding area is clean.
13. Position the ridge of the end cap facing the workports.
14. Slightly turn down the end cap screws until the spool end cap screw is flush with the housing. Refer to Image1.12.1.
15. Tighten the end cap screws to a specified torque of 10 +/- 1 N.m.
Spool spring replacement is completed.

16. Repeat Steps 2-15 for the Swing, RH and LH Travel, Blade and Aux spools, for Non-Regen Sections only.
