Information:


At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Be sure all the hydraulic pressure is released before any fittings, hoses or components are loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.
d. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.e. Carefully loosen the plugs at the rear of the tilt cylinder. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two plugs. To release the pressure in the attachment cylinders, carefully loosen the two large plugs near the plugs at the top of the loader frame. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two large plugs.f. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank.g. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. 4. Disconnect hoses (1) and (2) from the steering neutralizer valve.5. Remove the bolts that hold the steering neutralizer valve to the frame of the machine. Remove steering neutralizer valve (3).6. Remove the other steering neutralizer as in Steps 4 and 5. Install the steering neutralizer valves in the reverse order of removal.7. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.8. Check the adjustment of the strikers on the steering neutralizer valves. See "Neutralizer Valve" in Systems Operation Testing & Adjusting, 950F Wheel Loader Steering System, Form No. SENR4928.9. Separate the steering frame lock link. See "Separate & Connect Steering Frame Lock Link" in this module.10. Start the machine, and check the operation of the steering.Disassemble & Assemble Steering Neutralizer Valves
Start By:a. remove steering neutralizer valves Be sure the steering neutralizer valve is thoroughly clean prior to disassembly. 1. Remove boot (1) from valve body (11).2. Remove plug (9) from the valve body. Remove o-ring seal (10) from the plug. Remove spring (8) and spool (12) from valve body (11).3. Remove the bolt, lockwasher, and washer (7) from spool (12).4. Remove plug (3) from the valve body. Remove o-ring seal (4) from the plug. Remove spring (5) and ball (6) from valve body (11).5. Remove lip-type seal (2) from the valve body. The following steps are for the assembly of the steering neutralizer valve.6. Be sure all internal parts of the steering neutralizer valve are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to assembly. Put clean hydraulic oil on the internal components.7. Check the condition of all o-ring seals used in the steering neutralizer valve. If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.8. Install lip-type seal (2) in valve body (11) with tooling (A). Install the seal with the lip facing in toward the valve body as shown in illustration C17611P1.9. Install ball (6) and spring (5) in valve body (11). Install o-ring seal (4) on plug (3). Install
