Removal Procedure

Position a suitable lifting device (not shown) around cable assembly (2). Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Remove pin (1) in order to disconnect cable assembly (2) from the rear axle housing. Disconnect cable assembly (2) from the rear axle housing. The weight of cable assembly (2) is 39 kg (87 lb).

Rotate plate (3) in order to install cable assembly (2) to the truck body. Install cable assembly (2) to the truck body, as shown.
Lower the truck body.
If it is necessary to remove the cable assembly from the truck body, use the following procedure.

Position a suitable lifting device (not shown) around cable assembly (2). Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Remove cotter (4) that holds clevis pin (5) to the truck body. Remove clevis pin (5) and plate (3) from the truck body. Carefully lower cable assembly to the ground.

Remove two bolts (6), the nuts, and the washers that hold coupler (7) to the truck body. Remove coupler (7) from truck body (2) .
Remove cable assembly (2) from the truck body. The weight of cable assembly (2) is 39 kg (87 lb).
Lower the truck body.Installation Procedure
Raise the truck body.
If it is necessary to install the cable assembly to the truck body, use the following procedure.

Position a suitable lifting device (not shown) around cable assembly (2). Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Position cable assembly (2) to the truck body, as shown. The weight of cable assembly (2) is 39 kg (87 lb).
Position coupler (7) to the truck body, as shown. Install two bolts (6), the nuts, and the washers that hold coupler (7) to the truck body.

Position plate (3), as shown. Install clevis pin (5) to the truck body, as shown. Install cotter (4) that holds clevis pin (5) to the truck body.
Position a suitable lifting device (not shown) around cable assembly (2). Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Rotate plate (3) in order to install cable assembly (2) to the truck body. Position cable assembly (2) to the truck body, as shown. The weight of cable assembly (2) is 39 kg (87 lb).

Position a suitable lifting device (not shown) around cable assembly (2). Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Rotate plate (3) in order to remove cable assembly (2) from the stored position on the truck body. The weight of cable assembly (2) is 39 kg (87 lb).

Position cable assembly (2) to the rear axle housing, as shown. Install pin (1) in order to install cable assembly (2) to the rear axle housing.
