ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to KENR8149, "Fuel Injection Pump - Remove and Install".
If the pump is being replaced due to a failure, please fill out REHS9724, Special Instruction, "High Pressure Fuel Pump Return Form", and include it in the box with the returned pump. Refer to the Parts Disposition.
Note: This procedure has changed to include turning the engine off the damper and timing the engine using the pump. It is no longer required to time the engine using the timing port for the crankshaft.
Install the latest Engine software for T4I machines.
Install the latest Engine and Aftertreatment software for T4F machines.

PARTS DISPOSITION
NACD:
If the pump has failed, hold the pump for a Parts Return Request (PRR). A Parts Return Request (PRR) will be issued to you through the Send-It-Back process after the claim is submitted. Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.
EAME, LACD, and APD:
If the pump has failed, hold the pump for 30 days for a possible Parts Return Request (PRR). Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.
If a Parts Return Request (PRR) is not issued to you after 30 days through the Send-It-Back process, handle the parts in accordance with your warranty bulletin on warranty parts handling.
