Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the gas pressure regulator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gas Pressure Regulator - Remove" for the engine that is being serviced. Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove the gas line (1) from the gas pressure regulator.

Remove valve seat (3) from the tee fitting on gas line (1).
Remove the retainer ring and the coupling from the gas pressure regulator.

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Remove bolts (2) and cover (4) from the gas pressure regulator.
Remove spring (5) and diaphragm assembly (7) from the gas pressure regulator.
Remove valve (6) from the gas pressure regulator.
