Place stator (32) on pins (33) and install bolts (31) . Tighten the bolts to a torque of 40 5 N m (30 4 lb ft).

Attach Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device to impeller (30) . The weight of impeller (30) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb). Install bolts (24) . Tighten bolts (24) to a torque of 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).

Raise the temperature of bearing race (27) . Install bearing race (27) .
Install seal ring (28) onto shaft (26) .
Raise the temperature of bearing (29) . Install bearing (29) .

Install shaft (26) in the torque converter.Note: Do not damage the seals during assembly.
Use Tooling (D) in order to install retaining ring (25) .
Install O-ring seal (23) and lip seal (20) .
Position gear (22) and install bolts (21) . Tighten bolts (21) to a torque of 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).

Lower the temperature of bearing (17) . Install bearing (17) and retaining ring (16) .
Install gear (19) and retaining ring (18) .

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to housing assembly (15) . The weight of housing assembly (15) is approximately 84 kg (185 lb). Position housing assembly (15) .

Install bolts (14) . Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).
Install yoke (12) and bolt (13) . Tighten bolt (13) to a torque of 105 15 N m (77 11 lb ft).

Install sensor (10) and outlet relief valve (11) .

Place bearing (5) in planetary gear (6) . Place one spacer (9) on each side of planetary gear (6) , and place the components in the planetary carrier. Install shaft (7) .
Align the hole in shaft (7) with the hole in the planetary carrier. Install pin (8) even with the surface of the planetary carrier.

Install retaining ring (3) in the inner diameter of planetary carrier (2) . Position retainer (4) next to the spiral ring.

Position planetary carrier (2) onto shaft (16) . Make sure that the retainer stays in place.
Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (1) .End By: Install the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Diverter - Install".
