Second Stage Conveyor Assembly
(1) Idler (7 places). (2) Endless conveyor belt. (3) Tail pulley. (4) Second stage conveyor motor mount. (5) Head pulley.The second stage conveyor assembly includes an endless conveyor belt (2) which is pulled around the conveyor frame by head pulley (5). Head pulley (5) is driven by the second stage conveyor motor. The second stage conveyor motor is bolted to a mounting bracket (4) and is connected to head pulley (5) by a keyed shaft.The top and bottom of endless conveyor belt (2) rides on second stage conveyor idlers (1). Tail pulley (3), located at the opposite end of the second stage conveyor, is held in adjustable supports that can be positioned to set the tension of endless conveyor belt (2).The second stage conveyor assembly can be moved up and down by actuating the elevation cylinder. Also, the second stage conveyor can be moved left or right with the swing cylinders. The swing cylinders and elevation cylinder are used to position the second stage conveyor so cut materials can be discharged from the machine.Conveyor Control System

(8) Hydraulic tank. (9) Front manifold. (10) Solenoid (elevation control valve). (11) Counterbalance valve. (12) Cylinder (conveyor elevation).The main components of the second stage conveyor positioning system are pump (1), hydraulic tank (8), solenoids (2) and (10), cylinder (6), and cylinder (12).The second stage conveyor positioning system hydraulic oil is supplied by a variable displacement axial piston type pump. (13) Conveyor speed rocker switch. (14) Conveyor ON/OFF rocker switch. (15) Conveyor swing/elevation joystick.The machine operator controls conveyor functions from either side of the operator's control panel.Conveyor ON/OFF rocker switch (14) starts the first and second stage conveyors rotating at 100%. Conveyor speed rocker switch (13) controls second stage conveyor speed. The second stage conveyor can sustain operation from 70 - 100% of it's rated speed. The machine operator can initiate a momentary boost to the speed of the second stage conveyor (to approximately 124% from 100%). This momentarily diverts 15-19 lpm (4-5 gpm) hydraulic oil from a boost valve located in the auxiliary manifold.Second stage conveyor position is controlled by moving conveyor swing/elevation joystick (15) located on the operator's control panel.
