Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install valve (48) and spring (49) in relief valve (43) . Install cap (50) . Tighten cap (50) to a torque of 35 3 N m (26 2 lb ft). Install adjuster (51) and install nut (47) . Tighten nut (47) to a torque of 15 3 N m (11 2 lb ft). Install O-ring seal (44) and O-ring seal (45) to relief valve (43) . Install relief valve (43) in valve body (5) . Tighten relief valve (43) to a torque of 35 7 N m (26 5 lb ft).

With a suitable press, install spring (41) and retainers (42) to stem (39) . Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of stem (39) . Install detent (40) onto stem (39) . Tighten detent (40) to a torque of 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft).

Install two O-ring seals (36) and two backup rings (38) to lever assembly (37) . Install lever assembly (37) in control assembly (32) . Install lever (35) in the lever assembly. Tighten lever (35) to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft). Install O-ring seal (34) . Install O-ring seal (33) in control assembly (32) .

Install cover (30) and bolts (31) to control assembly (32) . Install control assembly (32) in valve body (5) . Install bolts (29) .

With a suitable press, compress detent springs (16) and (17 ) by pressing on retainer (20) . Install six balls (18) in retainer (21) . Install spring (19) in retainer (21) .
Install ball (26) . Install O-ring seal (25) on plug (24) . Install plug (24) . Install piston (14) in control valve body (11) . Install O-ring seal (13) on plug (12) . Install plug (12) in control valve body (11) .
Install O-ring seal (23) in spacer (9) . Install O-ring seal (22) in control valve detent (11) .

Position control valve detent (11) on valve body (5) . Install bolts (7) to secure control valve detent (11) to valve body (5) . Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 35 8 N m (26 6 lb ft). Install plug (8) and the O-ring seal into control valve detent (11) . Install plug (10) and the O-ring seal into control valve detent (11) .
