Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Remove the compartment cover at the rear of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Rear) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.
In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.

Release the pressure in the air tank.
Remove nut (2), the washer, and clip (3). Reposition air pressure sensor group (4) of the VIMS.
Remove the elbow and hose assembly (9) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (6), (7), and (8) .
Remove fitting assembly (5) .
Remove remaining nut (2), the washer, and air pressure control valve (1) of the service brake.Installation Procedure

Install air pressure control valve (1), the washer, and remaining nut (2) .

Install fitting assembly (5) .
Connect hose assemblies (6), (7), and (8) .
Install the elbow and hose assembly (9) .
Position air pressure sensor group (4) of the VIMS. Install clip (3), the washer, and nut (2) .
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting with an External Air Supply" in order to refill the air tank.End By:

Disconnect the retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
