Pull small cartridge (7) out of pump cover (9) .
Remove bolts (6) and remove cover (9) from the large cartridge, the pump shaft, and body (8) .

Remove large cartridge (10) from the pump shaft.

Remove O-ring seal (11) from body (8) .
Remove lockring (13) and remove the bearing and shaft (12) as a unit from body (8) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove snap ring (14) from shaft (12). Tooling (A) is not shown.
Push shaft (12) out of bearing (15). You may need to use a press in order to push the shaft out of the bearing.

Remove thrust washer (16) from body (8) .

Remove two lip seals (17) from body (8) .

Remove the backup ring, O-ring seal (19), and seal (18) from the large cartridge assembly.

Note: The following steps show the disassembly of the large cartridge. The same procedure is used to disassemble the small cartridge.
Make an identification of the arrows that are nearest bolts (20). The arrow that is on the flat of ring (22) will be in the same direction as the arrows that are nearest bolts (20) on plate (21) .
Remove bolts (20) and plate (21) from ring (22) .

Remove seal retainers (23) and the seals from plate (21) .
