Note: During assembly of the travel control valve, make sure that all parts are installed in the original location.
Make sure that all parts of the travel control valve are clean. Check the condition of all parts for wear or damage. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Install plugs (26) in housing (30). Tighten the plug to a torque of 7 1 N m (5 1 lb ft).
Use the following procedure in order to assemble the spool assembly:

Install seat (20), washer (18), spring (16) and seat (12) on spool (23) .
Compress seat (12) by hand. Install two locking collars (9) .

Install spring (15), the spool assembly, and bushing (7) in housing (30), as shown. Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (4) .
Use the following procedure to assemble plug (19) :

Install packing (22) and O-ring seal (21) on plug (19). Install cap (17) on plug (19) .
Install push rod (24) in plug (19). Install piston (25) on push rod (24) .

Install three balls (5), seat (29), spring (27), spring (28) and plug (19) in housing (30), as shown.
Repeat Steps 3 through 5 in order to assemble the other spool assembly.

Use Tooling (B) in order to install two bushings (11) in cover (14). Install the bushings until the bushings are even with the outside of the cover.

Put cover (14) in position on housing (30). Install bolt (10). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 78 9 N m (58 7 lb ft).
Install setscrews (2) and nuts (8) in pedal (6). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 33.3 3.4 N m (24.6 2.5 lb ft).
Put pedal (6) in position on cover (14). Install camshaft (13) in order to hold the pedal to the cover.

Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound on setscrew (3). Install the setscrew in the pedal. Tighten the setscrew to a torque of 7 1 N m (5 1 lb ft).
Repeat Steps 3 through 12 in order to assemble the other half of pilot valve.End By: Install the travel control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pilot Valve (Travel) - Install".
