PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Use the following Rework Procedure to replace the operator message display.
1) Ensure the machine is parked in a safe area for working, switch main battery disconnect switch to the off position.
2) Remove the operators foot rests, two Truss head M10x1.5x25mm fixings in the foot pads and two Truss head M6x1x20mm fixings on the bottom cross bar.
3) Remove the 6 off Truss head M6x1x20mm instrument panel fixings. Refer to Image1.1.1.
4) Pull the instrument panel into the cab.
5) Unplug connector from the display module. Refer to Image1.1.2.
6) Remove the 8 off M5x0.8x12mm display fixings and remove the display from the instrument panel.
7) Fit new messenger 2 display tighten diagonally the 8 off M5x0.8x12mm display fixings to 1.7,+ 0.34, -0 Nm.
8) Re-connect connector 1.
9) Re-position the instrument panel in the cabin; tighten 6 off Truss head M6x1x20mm instrument panel fixings to 6 Nm.
10) Replace the foot rest assembly, tighten the two Truss head M10x1.5x25mm fixings in the foot pads to 55+/-10Nm. The two Truss head M6x1x20mm fixings on the bottom cross bar to 6+/-1Nm.
11) Flash the new monitor with software.
12) Test all message display functions and return to service.
