Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Note: The following procedure is identical for both sides of the machine. If necessary, repeat the procedure for the remaining side of the machine.

Install the retainer to the frame assembly. Install Tooling (A) to the retainer, as shown.
Install outer race (8) to the frame assembly. Position Tooling (B) around outer race (8) in order to install the hoist cylinder, as shown.

Position the rod end of hoist cylinder (2) onto the machine, as shown. The weight of hoist cylinder (2) is approximately 285 kg (630 lb). Slide hoist cylinder (2) over outer race (8).
Remove the hose clamp from outer race (8). Install Tooling (C) onto Tooling (A), as shown. Use Tooling (C) to seat hoist cylinder (2) to the frame assembly. Lower hoist cylinder (2) onto the rear wheel.

Remove Tooling (A) (not shown) and Tooling (C) (not shown). Install cover (7), and bolts (6) to hoist cylinder (2).

Install Tooling (D) to the head end of hoist cylinder (2) and position hoist cylinder (2) to the body.

Apply Tooling (E) to pin assembly (5). Install pin assembly (5) to the head end of hoist cylinder (2).
Install plate (4), bolts (3) and the hard washers to hoist cylinder (2).

Connect hose assemblies (1) to hoist cylinder (2).
Refill the hydraulic tank (hoist and brake). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist and Brake Tank Oil - Change". The capacity of the hydraulic tank (hoist and brake) is 133 L (35 US gal). End By:
Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
