TUBE AS 2759321 - Caterpillar

1. Remove retainer (1) that holds tube assembly (3) in elbow (2) on the right side of the oil pan. 2. Remove the bolts and remove tube assembly (3) from the engine oil cooler elbow and elbow (2). 3. Remove bonnet (4) from the engine and transmission oil coolers. 4. Remove hydraulic oil cooler bracket (5) and the cover behind bracket (5). 5. Remove the bolts that hold body (8) and elbow (9) to the engine block. Pull oil cooler (6) out of bonnet (7) and remove it from the machine. The following steps are for the installation of the engine oil cooler.6. Make sure the O-ring seals are installed on the adapter in the end of oil cooler (6) and in the back of the bypass valve body. Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seals.7. Put oil cooler (6) in position in bonnet (7) and install the bolts to hold elbow (9) and the bypass valve body to the engine block. 8. Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seal and install cover (10) and hydraulic oil cooler bracket (5) on the bypass valve body.9. Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seal and install bonnet (4) and the gaskets.10. Install the ring and O-ring seals in each end of tube assembly (3) and put clean engine oil on the O-ring seals.11. Put tube assembly (3) in position in elbow (2) and install the bolts to hold it to the engine oil cooler bonnet. 12. Install retainer (1) to hold tube assembly (3).13. Start By: a. remove engine oil cooler 1. Remove O-ring seals (1) from the back of the body. 2. Remove adapter (2) from the core assembly. Remove the O-ring seals from the adapter.3. Remove body (3) from the core assembly. Remove tube (4) from the elbow. Remove the O-ring seals from the tube.4. Remove elbow (6) from the core assembly.
Cover (5) is under spring force.
5. Loosen the bolts evenly and remove cover (5) from the body. Remove springs (8) and plungers (7) from the body. 6. Clean the tubes in the core with a 3.18 mm (.125 in.) rod (9). The following steps are for the assembly of the engine oil cooler.7. Check the O-ring seal on the elbow for wear or damage. If necessary, make a replacement.8. Install elbow (6) on the core assembly.9. Install the O-ring seals on tube (4). Put clean SAE 30 oil on the O-ring seals.10. Install tube (4) in the elbow.11. Check the O-ring seal on the body for wear or damage. If necessary, make a replacement.12. Install body (3) on the tube and core assembly.13. Install plungers (7) and springs (8) in the body. Install the cover on the body.14. Install the O-ring seals on adapter (2). Put clean SAE 30 oil on the O-ring seals.15. Install adapter (2) in the core assembly.
