Removal Procedure
Start By:
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses and all tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1) and (2).

Attach a suitable lifting device to quick coupler (3). Remove bolt (4). Remove pin (5). Repeat for the other side.

Remove bolt (6). Remove pin (7).
Remove quick coupler (3). The weight of the quick coupler (3) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb). Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to quick coupler (3). Install quick coupler (3) in position on the machine. The weight of the quick coupler (3) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb).
Install pin (5). Install the bolt and tighten bolt (4). Repeat for the other side.

Align the bore of tilt link to bore of quick coupler. Install pin (7). Install the bolt and tighten bolt (6).

Connect hose assemblies (1) and (2).
Start the engine. Purge all air from the hydraulic system. Check the fluid level in the hydraulic tank.
