Installation Procedure
Thoroughly clean all of the motor parts.
Coat the inside of the motor with clean hydraulic oil.

Put 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound on the threads of relief valve (15) and install the relief valve in flange (9) .

Use Tool (A) and install the first lip type seal (14) in flange (9). Make sure that the seal is against the bottom of the seal bore in the flange. Install spacer (16). Install the second lip type seal (14) in flange (9). Make sure that the seal is against the spacer. Put a light film of clean hydraulic oil on the seal lip of seals (14) .Note: Install two seals (14) with the seal lip to the inside of the flange.

Note: Use 1U-6395 O-Ring Assembly Compound on the backup rings and the O-ring seals in order to hold the seals in place during assembly.
Install O-ring seal (11) in flange (9) .

Install four backup rings (13) and four O-ring seals (12) in each of the two pressure plates.

Install pressure plate (10) on flange (9) .Note: The bronze face of the pressure plates with trap slots must be facing upward.

Note: The notches on gear plate (6) must be facing upward.
Install gear plate (6) on flange (9) .
Put clean hydraulic oil on pressure plate (10) and the gear bores in gear plate (6) .

Carefully lower drive gear (7) and driven gear (8) into the gear plate. Make sure that the gears are not dropped.

Put clean hydraulic oil on the face of the gears and install pressure plate (5). Make sure that the four backup rings and the four O-ring seals are in place on the pressure plate.

Install O-ring seal (4) in cover (3) .
Make sure that cover (3) is aligned correctly with the gear plate. Install cover (3) on the gear plate with the eight washers and eight nuts (2) .

Install O-ring seal (1) on the mounting flange.End By: Install the winch drive motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Winch Drive Motor - Install".
