Introduction
The Cat® "Production Measurement (CPM) Application" is an electronic system that provides an accurate weight of the material loaded by an excavator.The application uses the information of Implement Position, Hydraulic Oil Pressure, and an accelerometer during swing operation to determine a load.The application allows the bucket load to be weighed during the normal loading cycle, normal temperature range, and no restriction of engine speed.The accuracy of the material weight is 5% with 95% confidence.The Cat® "Production Measurement (CPM) Application" includes an indicator which alerts the operator when one final bucket is needed to fill the truck. An indicator is also featured to indicate that the truck is overloaded.The alert feature ensures that each truck is loaded to the optimum level without being overloaded.The efficiency / productivity information can be displayed on the integrated monitor (located inside the cab) or sent to VisionLink.
