Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load can result in overheating and accelerated wear of engine components.Refer to the following procedure to allow the engine to cool and to prevent excessive temperatures in the turbocharger housing, which could cause oil coking problems.
While the machine is stopped, run the engine for 5 minutes at LOW IDLE.

In order to shut off the engine, turn the start switch key to the OFF position. Remove the start switch key. Long Term Idle
If the machine is parked and left running for extended periods of time, use the following procedure. Idle the machine at an engine RPM that is slightly higher than the LOW IDLE. Idling at the higher engine RPM ensures good lubrication.
