Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect the harness assembly from valve mechanism cover base (2) .
Disconnect the harness assemblies from electronic unit injectors (1) .
Remove valve mechanism cover base (2) and the seal.Installation Procedure

Position the seal and valve mechanism cover base (2) on the cylinder head. Install the bolts and tighten the bolts in a numerical sequence.
Connect the harness assemblies to electronic unit injectors (1) .
Connect the harness assembly to valve mechanism cover base (2) .End By: Install the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
