Attach a "Do not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service the equipment or before you repair the equipment. These warning tag (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Cat dealer. Machine Preparation
Park the machine in a smooth surface and extend both the extenders.
Turn the engine start switch OFF position.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Place lockout/tag out in the battery disconnect switch.Generator Connections Rework

Remove dashboard cover (1) .

Remove eleven bolts from handle (2), wheel plastic cover (3) and aluminum dashboard panel (4) .

Remove the two orange and pink wires (5) from brake light (6) .

Cut the two terminals (7) from wires (5) .

Splice orange wire (5) from the machine with 0.25m of 3mm-18AWG orange wire or 0.25mm of 5P-5677 Wire (8) into one terminal 7N-7221 Blade Terminal (9) .

Connect the two terminals (9) to brake light (6).

Connect the second terminals of the two wires (8) and (10) to the resistor 317-8651 (11) .
Apply cap 155-2270 (12) to resistor 317-8651 (11) .

Assemble eleven bolts to handle (2), wheel plastic cover (3) and aluminum dashboard panel (4) .
