Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the deflector (extender screed). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Deflector (Extender Screed) - Remove and Install".

Remove the lockwire. Disconnect harness assembly (2).
Disconnect the four grease lines from the tamper group.
Have a second person hold the tamper assembly in position. Remove four bolts (1) and the four washers.

Remove the two bolts (4), the plate, and the clamps securing harness assembly (2).
Remove four bolts (5) and tamper blade (6).
Remove tamper assembly (3). Installation Procedure

Install tamper assembly (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Use Tool (A) and a torque wrench to tighten harness assembly (2). Tighten harness assembly (2) to a torque of 10.5 0.3 N m (93 3 lb in).
Use Tool (C) to install Tool (B) in order to secure harness assembly (2). End By:
Install the deflector (extender screed). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Deflector (Extender Screed) - Remove and Install".
