General Information (1) Operator stations (2) Control pendants (optional) (3) Extenders (4) WalkwaysThis presentation covers the SE60 screed with the electric screed plate heating system. This screed is only available as a "V" model equipped with a vibratory system. Optional extensions and end gates are available.The main screed is equipped with rear-mounted extenders (3). The extenders provide variable paving widths. These extenders are hydraulically actuated using electronic controls for precision sizing of the mat. Walkways (4) along the extenders and the main screed allow the operator to move from one side of the screed to the other without walking on the newly laid mat.The screed is equipped with two main control locations. Two operator stations (1) are located on the main screed. Optional control pendants (2), with limited screed control, are located on screed extenders (3). The operator stations and pendants communicate with electronic control modules (ECMs) to monitor and control many tractor and screed functions.Using these controls, the screed can form a large variety of mat configurations. The basic specifications of the screed are:
Paving width - The mat width is adjustable from 3.00 - 5.95 m (9.8 - 19.5 ft). Using bolt-on extensions, the width may be increased to a maximum of 7.5 m (24.6 ft).Note: The actual maximum paving width configuration for the screed is dependent upon the paving machine capacity. Refer to the paving machine documentation for more information before setting maximum width of the screed.
Crown angle - The crown of the mat is configurable between +10 percent and -4 percent.
Extender slope angle - The mat slope is adjusted between +10 percent and -3 percent.Mat compaction adjustment is also available. Vibratory speed is adjustable from 700 rpm to 3000 rpm.
