A - Hydraulic hand Lifting 1 Start By:
Remove the screed.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Raise the hopper and engage the hopper travel locks.
Lift the machines so that the track is 30.48 cm (12 inch) off the ground.
Install suitable stand or suitable blocks to support the machine. The weight of the machine is approximately 4000 kg (8819 lb).
Drain the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct draining procedure.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1) from piston motor (2) .

Place Tooling (A) under track assembly (5). The weight of the track assembly (5) is approximately 389 kg (858 lb).

Remove bolts (3), bracket (4), and track assembly (5) .

Position master link on the track to the top of the track frame.
Release the track tension. Turn fitting (6) counterclockwise.

Remove the bolts, track pad (7), and (8) .
Attach lifting strap and suitable lifting device to the track .
Remove master link (9) .

Lay track (10) on the ground. Remove track frame assembly (11). The weight of track frame assembly (11) is approximately 266 kg (586 lb).
