(2) Sidecutter up switch
(3) Sidecutter down switchSidecutter up switch (2) and sidecutter down switch (3) are on propel lever (1), on the right console. These switches are push-button, momentary switches. The switch contacts are normally open.The propel lever communicates the status of the sidecutter switches to the machine ECM through the CAN lines. The machine ECM monitors the signal from these switches and relays. The information is relayed through the options ECM to enable or disable the sidecutter system. When either sidecutter up switch (2) or sidecutter down switch (3) is held for more than one second, the sidecutter system is enabled.With the sidecutter enabled, when the sidecutter up switch is pressed and held for 1 second or more, the sidecutter is disabled. In this case, the side cutter automatically raises to the full upright position.When the system is enabled, the options ECM also monitors the signal from these switches. This ECM uses these signals to control the solenoids on the sidecutter control valve. When either of the sidecutter up or down switches is pressed, the options ECM directs an output signal to the appropriate sidecutter solenoid. The sidecutter cylinder extends or retracts to raise or lower the sidecutter.
