Ensure that the hardware for the USB Tool has been installed according to the procedure in Systems Operation, KENR8201, "Installation". The authentication window will be visible on the display.

Keypad window (4) Enter key
Touch the username field (1) in the authentication window. A keypad window will open. This window is used to enter information into the system.Note: The keypad window must be used to enter information when the keypad window opens on the display.
By using the keypad window, enter a valid username.
Touch the enter key (4) on the keypad window. The keypad window closes.
Touch the password field (2) in the authentication window. The keypad window opens.
By using the keypad window, enter a valid password for the user.Note: The password is case sensitive.Note: The password must be at least four characters in length.Note: The actual password that is entered will not be displayed. Each keystroke will be replaced by an asterisk.
Touch the enter key (4) on the keypad window. The keypad window closes.

Touch the confirm button (3) in order to validate the user. If the authentication file contains the username and the password that was entered, then the "USB Tool Startup" screen opens. Note: The size of the "USB Tool Startup" screen depends on the model of the machine. The size of the screen on a Drill system (5) is 640 x 480. The size of the screen on a Dragline system (6) is480 x 640.Note: A username and a password must be entered in the system before the confirm button (3) is touched. If this information is not entered, then the system will exit from the USB Tool.Note: The onboard system will only allow three invalid entries. The onboard system will close the USB Tool after three invalid entries.
