Rework Procedure for the Muffler Bracket
Move the machine to a flat, level surface. Position the front linkage on the ground. Turn the key to the OFF position. Leave the hydraulic lock lever in the locked position. Open the cover for the engine hood.

Remove four 6V-8231 Nuts (2) from the bracket assembly in order to remove two 266-6321 U-Bolts (1) .
Remove the 171-9072 Pipe As from the existing muffler.

Remove two nuts (5) from the clamp (6) in order to remove the existing muffler.

Remove four 8T-4136 Bolts and four 7X-0796 Lockwashers in order to remove the 266-6319 Bracket and 266-6320 Bracket .

Install the new 324-4165 Bracket As to the engine flywheel housing. Use two 297-7654 Bolts and 2 7X-0796 Lockwashers from Step 5. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 35 6 N m (25.81 4.43 lb ft). Set up the muffler bracket to the correct position. Install the 324-4158 Bracket As to the engine flywheel housing. Use two 297-7654 Bolts and two 7X-0796 Lockwashers from Step 5. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 35 6 N m (25.81 4.43 lb ft). Set up the muffler bracket to the correct position.
Install the existing muffler from Step 4 on the muffler bracket.

Locate the 6V-8231 Nut from Step 2.

Install two 266-6321 U-Bolts from Step 2. Tighten two nuts on the bottom side to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in). Tighten the remaining two nuts on the upper side to a torque of 35 6 N m (26 4 lb ft).

Use two nuts from Step 4 in order to join the muffler and the pipe. Tighten the two nuts to a torque of 65 10 N m (48 7 lb ft).
Install the 171-9072 Pipe As from Step 3 to the new muffler.
Run the engine. Confirm that there is no exhaust leakage in the areas that are newly installed. If you find a leak in the exhaust, tighten each nut after resetting the muffler and pipe assembly.

Install the new 324-4165 Bracket As to the engine flywheel housing. Use two 297-7654 Bolts and 2 7X-0796 Lockwashers from Step 5. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 35 6 N m (25.81 4.43 lb ft). Set up the muffler bracket to the correct position. Install the 324-4158 Bracket As to the engine flywheel housing. Use two 297-7654 Bolts and two 7X-0796 Lockwashers from Step 5. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 35 6 N m (25.81 4.43 lb ft). Set up the muffler bracket to the correct position.
Install the existing muffler from Step 4 on the muffler bracket.
