The auxiliary valve proportional solenoid valves are controlled by two or three modules of the Implement ECM. The number of auxiliary solenoid valves that are installed on the machine will determine if the Implement ECM 3 is installed.The Implement ECM modules control the solenoid valves according to the input that is received from the auxiliary control lever position sensors. The auxiliary control levers can be configured to control any of the installed auxiliary solenoid valves.To control the proportional valves in an electronic hydraulic control system, the ECM will output a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal to energize the solenoids. The ECM will vary the duty cycle of the PWM signal to control the amount of electrical current that is sent to the proportional solenoids. A PWM duty cycle is the percentage of time the signal is high in relation to the period of the cycle. As the duration of the high signal increases, the percentage of the duty cycle and the amount of electrical current in the circuit increases proportionally.The ECM will apply the correct current amount dependent on the position of the joystick or the auxiliary control levers. The distance of travel of the solenoid valve plunger is proportional to the electrical current that is sent by the ECM. Motor Grader functions are controlled from a bank of solenoids located on the frame rail at the front of the machine. The solenoids are controlled from inputs from the right "(A port side)" and the left "(B port side)" in relation to the position of the operator. As the lever duty cycle increases the ECM sends current to the "B port" of the solenoid. Blade Raise Relief Solenoid output connections
The left and the right blade raise relief solenoids are used for the operation of the blade constant downforce system.
