Information:
High voltage may be present. Work on this equipment must be performed by authorized trained personnel. Failure to disconnect the power source before performing maintenance or removing modules exposes personnel to electrical potential. Bodily contact with electrical potential will cause serious personal injury or death.
High voltage is present. Work on this equipment must be performed by authorized trained personnel. Personnel must be wearing Personal Protective Equipment that meets regulatory requirements to protect the body for the work that is being performed. Failure to use appropriate PPE to protect the body will result in serious personal injury or death.
The photovoltaic modules are pre-configured with industry standard connectors. The conductor connectors are touch proof with all live parts protected against accidental contact and protected against polarity reversal.Cables and connectors are ultraviolet and weather resistant from −40° C (−40° F) to 90° C (194° F).Note: Damaged wires, connectors, or junction boxes may cause ground faults, and associated electrical hazards, including electrical shock and fire .Read the following to avoid these conditions.
Protect non-mated connectors from dust and moisture by using sealing caps (available from the connector manufacturer).
Limit module connectors to 10 or fewer plug cycles.
Do not pull lead wires tight at any time. After installation, the lead wire must not be under stress or tension.
Do not use junction box assembly or lead wire strain relief loops to secure excess wire. Do not use junction box assembly to support more weight than a wire and mated connector pair of a module.
Secure connector bodies and cables loosely at both ends to any mounting structure. The connector bodies and cables should not be secured too tight to allow for thermal expansion and contraction.
Secure wire or connected components so that no loose wires or components are hanging within 0.46 m (1.5 ft) of the ground in free field applications. Ensure that secured wires and components are hanging clear of roof coverings or pooled water in rooftop applications.
Ensure that connectors are fully mated.
Ensure that wire securities, such as cable ties, do not damage wire insulation. The minimum module lead wire bend radius is 5 times wire diameter. Observe minimum bend radius specifications on all other photovoltaic system wiring.
Inspect and maintain wire management requirements over the life of the plant.Note: Components used to interconnect photovoltaic modules must be compatible with the connectors. Components must also provide proper system operation and fault protection as required by any applicable codes. Field wiring must be rated for 90° C (194° F) and be of a type approved for use in accordance with federal, state, and local authorities.
