Remove thrust washer (5), bolts (6), and plate (7) from the end of the trunnion. Remove the thrust washer that is behind plate (7) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to trunnion support (3). Remove trunnion support (3) from the trunnion. The weight of trunnion support (3) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).

Remove lip seal (8) and sleeve bearing (9) from trunnion support.

Remove bolts (10). Use two people in order to remove trunnion (11). The weight of trunnion (11) is approximately 24 kg (53 lb).Installation Procedure

Apply Tooling (B) on the mating surface between trunnion (11) and the axle housing.
Use two people in order to install trunnion (11). The weight of trunnion (11) is approximately 24 kg (53 lb).
Install bolts (10). Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 300 40 N m (220 30 lb ft).

Use a suitable press and Tooling (A) in order to install sleeve bearing (9) in trunnion support (3) .

Note: Lip seal (8) must be installed so that the sealing lip is facing toward the outside of trunnion support (3) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to install lip seal (8) in trunnion support (3) .

Fasten a suitable lifting device to trunnion support (3). Install trunnion support (3) on the trunnion. The weight of trunnion support (3) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).

Apply Tooling (C) on thrust washers (5) .
Install thrust washer (5), plate (7), thrust washer (5), and bolts (6). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 570 80 N m (420 60 lb ft).

Note: Bolts (1) are not the same length as bolts (4). Be sure to install the correct bolt in the bolt's original hole.
Install cover (2), bolts (1), and bolts (4) on trunnion support (3). Tighten bolts (1) and (4) to a torque of 300 40 N m (220 30 lb ft).End By: Install the oscillating axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Install".
