Oil that is hot and under high pressure can cause injury. To prevent injury, all pressure in the hydraulic system must be released before any hydraulic lines are disconnected. To release the pressure in the hydraulic system, stop the engine and move the implement control levers to all positions. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before work is done on the hydraulic system.
2. Remove bolts (1) from the bracket that holds the oil tubes to the lift cylinder.3. Remove bolts (2) that hold the oil tube to the head end of the lift cylinder. 4. Disconnect oil tube (3) from the rod end of the lift cylinder. Install plugs in the openings in the oil tubes and lift cylinder.5. Fasten a strap and hoist to the rod of the lift cylinder. 6. Remove grease fitting (4) and bolt (5) from the pin.
943 Shown7. Install the correct tooling on the pin in the rod of the lift cylinder, and fasten a hoist. Use the tooling to remove the pin from the rod of the lift cylinder. 943 - use tooling (A). 953 - use tooling (C).8. Lower the rod end of the lift cylinder, and fasten another strap to the head end of the lift cylinder. 9. Remove bolt (6) and grease fitting (7) from the pin at the head end of the lift cylinder. 10. Use tooling (C) as shown to remove the pin from the head end of the lift cylinder. Remove the lift cylinder. Weight of 943 lift cylinder is 54 kg (120 lb.). Weight of 953 lift cylinder is 103 kg (228 lb.).Install Lift Cylinders
1. Put clean grease on the pin bearings in the lift cylinder and lift arms. Fasten straps and a hoist to the lift cylinder. Put the lift cylinder (1) in position on the machine. Weight of the 943 lift cylinder is 54 kg (120 lb.). Weight of the 953 lift cylinder is 103 kg (228 lb.).
Do not damage the seals in the eyes on the lift cylinder and lift arm when the pins are installed to hold the cylinder in place.
