The PR-275-RT Pavement Profiler is a diesel powered, four-wheel machine designed to trim existing concrete and asphalt slabs in widths of up to 67 inches for cuts to 4 inches or 80 inches for shallower cuts. Power from the engine is transferred hydraulically to the wheels and cutter by hydrostatic transmissions.The cutter is a cylinder with replaceable bits mounted in bolt-on auger-type flighting that wraps around the cylinder. A moldboard mounted behind the cutter moves the material loosened by the cutter into a windrow for easy recovery. Dust created by the cutter is washed from the air by water sprayed from nozzles mounted inside the cutter housing. The cutter shaft bearings are automatically lubricated by a central lubrication system.The all-hydraulic HYDRA-MATION System provides manual steering control and automatic or manual control of mainframe and cutter elevation.An electrically driven emergency hydraulic power unit supplies sufficient hydraulic power to raise the machine in the event of engine failure.
