Start By:a. remove hood
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap from the radiator slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
1. Relieve the pressure from the radiator. Remove the radiator cap.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill plug only when the engine is stopped and when the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hands.
Identify all hydraulic lines as they are removed for reinstallation purposes. Cap and plug all lines and fittings to prevent any contaminants from entering the hydraulic system.2. Remove the right and left access panels. 3. Connect a hose to valve (1). Drain the hydraulic tank. The capacity of the hydraulic tank is 117.5 liters (31 gallons).
Typical Example4. Remove upper radiator hose (2). Leave the lower hose connected, it is not necessary to remove the lower hose.5. Remove the two hydraulic lines that connect to the bottom of the oil cooler.6. Remove the fan shroud and guard from the oil cooler and let it lay against the engine.7. Remove the bolts from bracket (3) that are necessary to remove the cooler. Install link brackets (A) in the upper holes of the oil cooler as shown.
Typical Example
Use caution in Step 7, removing the oil cooler, taking care not to bend the fins of the oil cooler. If the fins get bent, the cooling capacity of the oil cooler will be impaired.
8. Attach a suitable lifting device to link brackets (A). Remove the oil cooler. The weight of the oil cooler is 39 kg (85 lb). For installation of the oil cooler, reverse the removal steps.9. Fill the hydraulic tank to the correct level.End By:a. install hood
