The cab is removed for better photo illustration only. It is not necessary to remove the cab to remove the centershift lock control valve.1. Remove the cotter pin and pin (3) from linkage (5). Move the linkage free of the handle. Remove bolts (2) and retainer (1) from the cover. Remove bolts (4) and cover (6).
Personal injury can be the result if air lines (9) and (10) are disconnected before the air pressure in the air tank is released. To release the air pressure in the air tank, open the bleed valves on both ends of the air tank.
2. Disconnect air lines (9) and (10) from the valve.3. Remove screws (7). Remove centershift lock control valve (8).Install Centershift Lock Control Valve
1. Put centershift lock control valve (1) in position on the support. Install the screws that hold it.2. Connect the three air lines to their correct location on the valve. 3. Put cover (2) in position on the brackets. Install the bolts that hold it.4. Put the retainer in position on cover (2). Install the bolts that hold it.5. Put linkage (3) in position on the handle. Install the pin that holds it. Install the cotter pin.Disassemble Centershift Lock Control Valve
START BY:a) remove centershift lock control valve 1. Remove two bolts (1) and cover (2) from the centershift lock control valve. Earlier models do not have an exhaust port (3) as shown. 2. Remove O-ring seal (7), two springs (6) and two valves (5) from the valve body.3. On later model machines, remove O-ring seal (4) from exhaust port (3). 4. Remove pin (8) that holds lever (12) in position in the valve body. Remove lever (12).5. Remove two plungers (11) and two springs (9) from the valve body. Remove O-ring seal (10) from each valve.Assemble Centershift Lock Control Valve
1. Install the O-ring seal on each plunger (2).2. Put springs (5) and plungers (2) in position in the valve body.3. Put lever (3) in position in valve body (1). Install pin (4) through the valve body and the lever to hold the lever in position in the valve body. 4. On later model machines, install O-ring seal (7) on exhaust port (6).5. Install two valves (8) and two springs (9) in the valve body. Install O-ring seal (10) on the valve body.6. Put the cover in position on the valve body. Install the two bolts and lockwashers that hold it in place.END BY:a) install centershift lock control valve
