Start By:a. remove axles 1. Remove two bolts (2) that hold the final drive planet carrier to the wheel assembly. Install two 5/8"-11 NC guide bolts (1) in their place.2. Install tooling (A) on the final drive planet carrier as shown and fasten a hoist.3. Remove the remainder of bolts (2) that hold the final drive planet carrier to the wheel assembly. 4. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws (4) in the final drive planet carrier. Tighten the forcing screws evenly and remove final drive planet carrier (3) from the machine. The weight is 75 kg (165 lb.). 5. Pull the ends of ring (6) together and remove ring gear (5) from the hub assembly. 6. If necessary, remove ring (6) from the hub assembly.Install Final Drives
1. Install ring (1) on the hub assembly. 2. Install ring gear (2) part of the way on the hub assembly. Put the ends of ring (1) together and push ring gear (2) into position until ring (1) holds ring gear (2) in position.3. Install the O-ring seal around the final drive planet carrier and put clean oil on the O-ring seal. 4. Install two 5/8"-11 NC guide bolts (3) in the wheel assembly as shown.5. Install tooling (A) on the final drive planet carrier and fasten a hoist. Put final drive planet carrier (4) in position in the wheel assembly. 6. Install bolts (5) that hold the final drive planet carrier to the wheel assembly. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 270 25 N m (200 18 lb.ft.).End By:a. install axles
