PUMP & AUXILIARY DRIVE GP 1959092 - Caterpillar

1. Remove six cotter pins and pins (1). Remove levers and bracket (2). 2. Remove three nuts (4). Remove outlet section assembly (3).3. Remove two plugs (9). 4. Remove manifold assembly (5) and fitting (7).5. Remove fitting (6) and two check valves (8) from the manifold. Disassemble the check valves. Put identification on the valve assemblies for correct assembly. 6. Remove all of the valve assemblies from the rods and inlet valve housing (11). Each valve body has a check (poppet) valve, spring (17) and O-ring seal.7. Remove springs (17), check (poppet) valves and O-ring seal.8. Put right hand stabilizer (16), left hand stabilizer (10) and bucket (15) valve assemblies in one group as the disassembly is the same.9. The boom (13), stick (14) and swing (12) valve assemblies are the same except for the valve spool assembly, which is different, in the the swing valve assembly.
Typical Example Left hand stabilizer valve assembly is shown. 10. Remove two screws (20), plate (22), the valve seal and the O-ring seal.11. Remove three fittings (18). Remove the O-ring seals from the fittings.12. Remove two screws (21) and cap (19). Remove the valve spool assembly. Remove the O-ring seal, valve seal and the plate from the valve spool assembly.
Spring is under compression.
13. Remove screw (25) if it is necessary to make a replacement of spring (23) or retainers (24). Keep the parts for each valve assembly together.14. Do Steps 9 through 12 for left hand stabilizer and the bucket valve assemblies.
Boom, Stick And Swing Valve Assemblies (Typical) Stick valve assembly is shown. 15. Remove two fittings (26). Remove the O-ring seals from the fittings.16. Remove two screws (31), plate (30), the valve seal and the O-ring seal.17. Remove two screws (29) and cap (28). Remove the valve spool assembly. Remove the O-ring seal, valve seal and the plate from the valve spool assembly.
Spring is under compression.
18. Remove screw (34) if it is necessary to make a replacement of spring (32) or retainers (33).19. Remove two relief valve assemblies (27). Relief valves must be checked and tested if disassembled. 20. Disassemble relief valves if necessary.21. Do Steps 15 through 20 for the boom and swing valves. 22. Remove rods (35) from inlet valve housing (11). 23. Remove relief valve (36), plug (37) and fitting (38). Remove the O-ring seals.24. Disassemble the relief valve if necessary.Assemble Hydraulic Control Valves
1. Check all parts for damage. If damaged, use new parts for replacement.2. Make sure all parts are clean and free of dirt and foreign material. If relief valves were disassembled and assembled, they must be checked and adjusted to the correct pressure for operation. See TESTING AND ADJUSTING in D3 and 931 BACKHOE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. 3. Assemble relief valve (1) and install in inlet valve housing (2).4. Install O-ring seals (3) on fitting (5) and plug (4). Install the fitting and the plug in the housing. 5.
