Note: The cooling fan was removed for photographic purposes.
Loosen jam nuts (1) on belt tensioner (2). Remove drive belt (3) from the pulleys.

Place a 1/2 inch drive bar in belt tensioner (4). Apply force to the breaker bar and remove belt (5) .Installation Procedure
Note: Check the tension of the fan drive belt. Use a Kent Moore Company BT-33-97 gauge. The correct tension for a new V-belt is 534 22 N (120 5 lb). The correct tension for a used V-belt is 400 44 N (90 10 lb). A used V-belt has been active over 30 minutes at rated speed.

Place a 1/2 inch breaker bar in belt tensioner (4). Apply force to the breaker bar and install belt (5) .

Install drive belt (3) onto the pulleys. Tighten jam nuts (1) on belt tensioner (2) .
