Caterpillar is aware of the problem, but an interim solution has not yet been defined.

Capillary tube and Protective sleeveAdditional information is needed to resolve this issue. If you have experienced a problem with the 186-8218 Thermostat , follow the instruction below.
Check that the capillary tube is routed as per Illustration 1 and that the tube has the protective sleeve in position.
Submit a Dealer Solution Network (DSN) ticket.
Request that a Tier 1 representative, transfer your ticket to an available Tier 2 representative for Caterpillar Underground Mining - Base Machine.
