Information:
This machine has been designed to be a versatile and efficient pavement milling machine to be used in a wide variety of job conditions. However, the machine has operating limitations which must be recognized in order to assure operation within the capacity of the systems provided.Braking:
The PR-75 has two independent braking systems each designed and tested to meet current SAE recommendations for this class of equipment. The hand operated mechanical parking brakes will hold the machine in a parked condition on a 15% (8.5°) slope. Parking on a steep slope should not be attempted or other provisions must be made to prevent machine movement. The foot operated brake is a conventional hydraulic brake system which actuates disc brakes located on each front wheel. This system is the primary or the service brake system. This foot brake system will stop the machine on 6.10 m (20 feet) from a speed of 19.31 km (12 MPH). The foot brake system is a dual system which supplies emergency stopping in the event of a single failure. These distances will be met only by depressing the clutch or placing the propel lever in neutral before actuating the brake.
The braking performance has been tested and is met on hard, dry level surfaces. Operation on other conditions such as on wet surfaces, loose material, or on a slope should be taken into account by a reduction of speed.
Cutting Direction:
When cutting with the PR-75 the machine must operate only in the forward direction. Operating in reverse while cutting may result in the machine being propelled by the cutter. This could cause loss of directional or speed control and result in an accident or injury.Operation On Grades:
The PR-75 is intended for operation on grades of 15% (8.5°) or less. If the grade is not known, a guide for estimating a 15% (8.5°) grade is shown below. Turning Limitations:
The PR-75 is equipped with two steering axles which allows the machine to perform milling operations around small diameter objects such as manhole covers. The rear steer axle must only be used in the CREEP propel mode.Steering limitations in the ROAD mode listed below must be observed to avoid tipping the machine. While traveling at 19.31 km (12 MPH) (throttle in full stroke in the ROAD propel mode). Do not turn sharper than 13.3 m (44.5 foot) radius (which corresponds to approximately 1/2full turn of the steering wheel with the rear wheels starting from a straight position).
