Feedback circuit connections for the rear axle supply solenoid
The rear axle supply solenoid is controlled by the rear axle relay based on input from the brake ECM. When the solenoid is energized by the relay, a feedback signal is sent to the ECM in order to indicate solenoid status. This diagnostic code is associated with the rear axle supply solenoid feedback. The ECM expects to see +battery voltage at the feedback contact when the solenoid is energized and no voltage when the solenoid should not be energized. The FMI 03 means that the ECM has determined that the feedback voltage for the solenoid circuit is above what is expected.Some possible causes of the diagnostic code are listed:
The solenoid has failed.
The feedback circuit of the solenoid is shorted to the +battery circuit.
