Removal Procedure
Start By:a. Connect the steering frame lock.b. Release the system pressure release.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.
The steering neutralizer valves are located above the upper hitch pin in the articulation joint.
Drain the hydraulic oil tank for the steering system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, Hydraulic System Oil (Steering) (Brake) - Change for the correct draining procedure.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1), (3), and (5).
Remove bolts (2) and steering neutralizer valve (4).Installation Procedure
Install steering neutralizer valve (4) in the reverse order of removal.
