Automatic Controls Option Key
An option key is required before automatic controls can be used with the AccuGrade System.Symptoms
The AccuGrade System will not go into automatic controls mode.
The "Grade Control" option is not available in the "Machine Settings" dialog.
The Angle Sensors do not appear in the "Diagnostics" screen.Probable Causes
The Auto option has not been loaded.Isolating The Problem
From the "Installation" menu, select "Software Support Option". In the "Software Support Option" dialog, check the Installed options. The dialog should have the message: "Automatic Controls Valid"If there is a valid option key on the data card, that option key will be loaded.Note: You can also enter the option key manually.
If automatic controls are not valid, you need to purchase the option key. Then, load the option key. Display Messages
The Display can show several status messages that may indicate various problems with the AccuGrade System.Calibrate Valves
The calibration data for the valve is incorrect for the Valve Module.Probable Causes
If the Valve Module is replaced, a new valve calibration is required.Isolating The Problem
Restore the correct machine configuration file.
Perform a valve calibration. "No Design Loaded"
A design is not loaded into the Display.Probable Causes
A design is not loaded into the display.
The previously loaded design is no longer present on the data card.
The data card was removed while the design file was being loaded.Isolating The Problem
Note: Do not remove the data card while the data (design) is being loaded.
Ensure that a design is selected and loaded.
Verify that the desired design is present on the data card. Off Design
The vertical guidance points that have been configured are outside the area that is covered by the design. The state of the machine will change to the Inactive Auto state if one or both of the blade tips remain off the design for 60 seconds or more.Probable Causes
The machine is working on the outer edge of the design. Additionally, one or both of the blade tips are outside the area of the design.Isolating The Problem
Operate the machine within the design boundaries.
Ensure that the design boundaries are established so that the machine remains on the design.
Toggle the system back to the Auto state if the Inactive Auto state has been enabled. Off Grade
While in the automatic state, one or both blade tips have been above or below the working surface by more than half the vertical tolerance of the light bar for longer than 3 seconds.Probable Causes
The cutting edge of the blade is too far from the working surface.
The vertical tolerance is too small.Isolating The Problem
Increase or decrease the vertical offset so that the working surface and the cutting edge of the blade are closer together.
Adjust the tolerance for the vertical light bar to a larger value. Out Of Auto Range
The blade tips have moved above or below the guidance surface by more than 200 mm (8 inch). The automatic controls are now set to the Inactive Auto state.Probable Causes
