Boom and Stick Speed Adjustment
Do not close the valves too far, or the hydraulic fluid could overheat.
1. Open the access cover. 2. Turn screw (1) clockwise to slow the stick speed. Turn counterclockwise to increase.3. Turn screw (2) clockwise to slow the boom speed. Turn counterclockwise to increase.Boom Height Adjustment
The two piece boom permits boom reach to be extended or retracted, to one of four positions, for different applications.For clamshell operation, the upper hole in the stub boom can be used to increase boom raise height.Boom Retracting or Extending
Place the boom in this position before operation begins.Engage parking brake when leaving machine.1. Dig a small trench for the bucket and stick to sit in.2. Remove cotter pins (1) and pull boom retainers (2) out.3. Move machine back until the holes align as above.4. Insert retainers and cotter pins.Boom or Front Attachment Lowering with Engine Stopped
When lowering the boom with the engine stopped, keep all personnel away from the boom area to prevent personal injury.The boom will automatically lower to the ground when the shut-off valve is turned to the open position.The boom lowering valve must be closed before the machine is operated.
Make sure that no one is close to the boom or attachment before lowering it.The lowering speed must be kept as slow as possible. The valve lever is located behind the boom. Move the valve lever (observe symbols) slowly to the OPEN position.Move the lever back to the CLOSED position after the lowering of the boom or attachment has been made.
