2 1 238-4676 Speed Sensor On the machines listed above, a short-circuit may occur with Electric Swivel Gp (1) or Speed Sensor (2) due to water ingress. A short may cause the following:
Decrease in the machine drive speed.
"191" fault code on the transmission output sensor.
Disable the speed indicator on the monitor.Solution
In the event of failure, replace the electric swivel group (1) and speed sensor (2) with the same part numbers.Do not open the electric swivel group (1).If the electric swivel group had been opened, Caterpillar cannot manage the root cause investigations.Refer to Special Instruction , M0083899 for the procedure to troubleshoot the transmission speed sensor.
