Problem
New assets registered in the back office may not be populating in Dealer Service Portal (DSP) on certain Cat® Product Link (PL542) devices. Dealers and product support personnel, are experiencing registration issues of new assets. The new devices registered are able to confirm proper registration in the back office, but the assets do not populate into DSP.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but a permanent repair has not been identified. As an interim action, dealers experiencing the issues with device registration may contact Dealer Solution Network (DSN) for assistance, with the serial number and International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of the PL542 device (or with the picture of the label). Product support can request a Registration Info V2 message, and tap the device to initiate a manual registration.
