Cut cable straps (2) and disconnect harness assemblies (3) from both thermistors (1). Note: Use care not to damage thermistors (1) if the thermistors are not removed from the exhaust elbow.

Remove four bolts (5) that fasten adapter (4) to exhaust elbow (6).

Disconnect harness assembly (7).
Remove bolt (10) and remove adapter (9) and plate (8).
Remove exhaust bellows (11).

Install Tooling (A) on exhaust elbow (6) and attach a suitable lifting device.
Remove bolts (12). Remove exhaust elbow (6) and the support. The weight of exhaust elbow (6) is approximately 45 kg (98 lb).

Remove seal ring (13) from exhaust elbow (6).

Remove seal ring (14) from exhaust elbow (6). Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Inspect the condition of the seal rings for exhaust elbow (6). Replace the seal rings, if necessary.

Install seal ring (14) in exhaust elbow (6).

Install seal ring (13) on exhaust elbow (6).

Install Tooling (A) on exhaust elbow (6) and attach a suitable lifting device. The weight of exhaust elbow (6) is approximately 45 kg (98 lb).
Position exhaust elbow (6) and the support and install bolts (12).

Install exhaust bellows (11) that fasten exhaust elbow (6) to the turbochargers.
Position adapter (9) and plate (8) on the exhaust elbow and install bolt (10).
Connect harness assembly (7).
