Raise the right-hand hood to the fully open position.

Attach a suitable lifting device to support right-hand hood (1). The weight of right-hand hood (1) is approximately 172 kg (380 lb)

Remove snap ring (3). Remove retaining pin (2).
Cut all cable straps securing harness assembly (4) to right-hand hood (1). Place harness assembly (4) out of the way.

Disconnect gas spring assembly (5).
Using the lifting device attached in Step 2, lower the right-hand hood to the closed position. Remove the lifting device.

Remove bolts (6). Repeat process for opposite side of right-hand hood (1).

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to remove right-hand hood (1). The weight of right-hand hood (1) is approximately 172 kg (380 lb)Installation Procedure
Install right-hand hood (1) in the reverse order of removal.
