BEARING KIT 1400039 - Caterpillar

1. Put identification covers on the oil lines for installation purposes. Disconnect oil lines (2) and (3) from the steering relief valve.2. Remove three bolts (4) and steering relief valve (1).Install steering Relief Valve
1. Install steering relief valve (1) on frame.2. Connect oil lines (2) and (3) to the steering relief valve.Disassemble Steering Relief Valve
START BY:a) remove steering relief valve 1. Put identification on covers (2) and (4) and body (3) for installation purposes.2. Remove four bolts (1) that fasten cover (2) to body (3). 3. Remove fitting (5) and three O-ring seals (6) from cover. 4. Turn the steering relief valve over and remove bolts (7) and cover (4). 5. Remove O-ring seals (10), elbow (8) and fitting (9) from cover. 6. Remove shim pack (11), spring (12) and valve (13) from body. 7. Remove fittings (16) and O-ring seals (14) from body.8. Remove seat (15) from body. Remove the O-ring seal from seat.Assemble Steering Relief Valve
Inspect O-ring seals for damage and make any replacements if necessary.
1. Put O-ring seal (3) on seat. Install seat (2) in body (1). Install valve, spring and shim pace and two fittings on body (1). 2. Install fitting (5), elbow (4) and O-ring seals (6) in cover (7). 3. Install cover (7) on body. 4. Install O-ring seals (8) and fitting (9) in cover (10). 5. Install cover (10) on body.END BY:a) install steering relief valve
